THE first Myanmar-Russia Joint Anti-Terrorist Committee meeting continued for the sec­ond day at Hilton Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.

Present at the meeting were Chief of Staff (Army) Lt- Gen Moe Myint Tun of the My­anmar Tatmadaw and senior military officers from the Of­fice of the Commander-in-Chief, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russian Federation and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces Colonel-General Kim Alexey Rostislavovich and officials.

They frankly exchanged views on cooperation in Myan­mar-Russia anti-terrorist meas­ures, signed the approval for the minute of the meeting and exchanged emblems.

The meeting ended with concluding remarks of theChief of Staff (Army) of the Of­fice of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and the Chief of the Gen­eral Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the First Deputy Command­er-in-Chief of Russian Ground Forces.

The first-day session of the meeting took place at the same venue on the morning of 30 No­vember.

Two Joint Chairs of the committee approved the meet­ing agenda and posed for doc­umentary photos together with the attendees. They also cordial­ly exchanged views on coopera­tion in anti-terrorist measures between Myanmar and Russia.
