CHINA and ASEAN countries see the potential for further expanding trade and investment in Myanmar, said Union Minister U Aung Naing Oo at the 7th China-South Asia Exposition and 27th China (Kunming) Export and Import Fair and the 5th China-Southeast Asia Business Forum.
He said the theme of the events represents the key cooperation between China and Southeast Asian countries. Myanmar participates in ASEAN economic agendas actively and possesses the proper potential for China and ASEAN countries to expand trade and investment, appreciating the role of the private sector which is the main drive for development and stability.
He added that the country will launch close trade and investment relations with China and Southeast Asian countries. Moreover, these countries should promote economic cooperation to explore better futures and chances.
Similarly, UMFCCI President U Aye Win presided over the China-Southeast Asian Business Forum. The presidents of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Southeast Asia and prefectures of Yunnan of China participated in the forum.
