THE Ministry of Commerce has stated that Myanmar received an income of US$121.957 million from mineral exports.
The figures showed that the value of Myanmar’s mineral exports was worth US$121.957 million within four months (from 1 April to 4 August) in this financial year.
During the same period of the previous financial year, exports of mineral products earned US$138.124 million, which is still over US$16 million more than this year.
Myanmar’s mineral exports bagged more than US$21 million from stateowned exports and US$100.532 million from private exports in this financial year.
The export items are gold, jade, pearl, diamond, lead, tin, tungsten, silver, copper, zinc, coal and other minerals.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, more than US$200 million was earned from the export of minerals abroad during the nine months from 1 April to 30 December of the 2022–2023 financial year. The annual export of mineral products during the period of the 2021–2022 Mini-Budget was worth US$288.599 million. TWA/CT
