Message from U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Mr Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Kingdom of Thailand

It gives me immense pleasure to convey my warm felicitations and best wishes to Your Excellency on the momentous occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Kingdom of Thailand on 24 August 2023.

Myanmar has always attached great importance to and highly valued its good neighbourly relations and multi-faceted cooperation with Thailand which both countries have enjoyed for several decades. As we usher in a new chapter in our bilateral relations on this special occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, I look forward to working more closely with Your Excellency in both bilateral and multilateral contexts, for further enhancement of friendly relations and natural strategic partnership in the best interests of our two peoples and countries.
