UNION Minister of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win received the delegation led by the Chief of IOM Mr Dragan Aleksoski at the meeting hall of the ministry yesterday morning.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of migrant workers between Myanmar and neighbouring countries and assisting victims of human trafficking, humanitarian assistance between IOM and the Ministry, cooperation in disaster risk reduction and community reintegration of human trafficking victims, the status of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry and IOM,

Moreover, they also exchanged views on the participation of UNOCHA in providing humanitarian assistance to Mocha victims in Rakhine State and matters about IOM to be able to give recommendations for entry visas for foreign staff.
