KAYIN State government provided 78 displaced households (3,333 people) with food and cash in Kamamaung town in Phapun Township, Kayin State on 26 August.
The displaced households received foodstuffs, cash aid of K6,999,300 which are enough to buy a one-week ration for all households, relief aids which contain 17 items and family kits provided by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. The Kayin State chief minister encouraged the households to live, maintain their well-being and help each other. He also said his government had compassion for households having many difficulties after displacing their homes more than a year ago.
The displaced households presented their difficulties and needs and the chief minister responded to the situation by providing necessary arrangements for them.
The state government also donated food to Myinegyingu NanU Monastery and also handed K182,000,000 donated by the Department of Highways under the Ministry of Construction for the maintenance of Hteephoe Khalone-Myinegyingu road section, K9 million donated by the Ministry of Border Affairs for families who returned from abroad.
The state government also provides military regiments and BGF with K1 million cash and instant noodles each and supports the police force discharging their duties there with K500,000 and instant noodles. Government staff there also received instant noodles from the state government.
