THE press show of a Myanmar film “My Dear Heart” jointly directed by Myanmar and the Philippines commemorating the 67th anniversary of Myanmar-Philippines diplomatic relations was held at Wyndham Grand Yangon Hotel yesterday.

It was attended by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Yangon Region Advocate-General U Htay Aung, Charge d’Affaires Mr Enrique Voltaire Pingol of the Philippine Embassy to Myanmar, officials of the film and movie industry, artistes and invitees.

A video clip marking the 67th anniversary of Myanmar-Philippines diplomatic relations was played and the video message of the Charge d’Affaires of the Philippine Embassy to Myanmar was screened.

The intention of the film was then highlighted, and film producer Ma Khun Mai Aung remarked.

Charge d’Affaires Mr Enrique Voltaire Pingol presented flower bouquets to artistes of the film.

Some iconic plot of the film was also screened and film director Ei Ei Khine expressed words of thanks. Later, the Union minister cordially met officials of the film and movie industry and artistes at the event.

The year 2023 marks the 67th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Myanmar and the Philippines. Therefore, Forever Group Holding Ltd, which is a joint venture of MRTV of the Ministry of Information, bought the “My Dear Heart” series broadcast on the ABS-CBN channel of the Philippines and arranged to make a new one with Myanmar artistes with the setting of hospitals.

It is about Metta (loving-kindness) between two persons and was created by film director Ei Ei Khine. There will be 78 episodes and it will be broadcast on MRTV-4 from Monday to Friday at 7 pm beginning 19 September 2023.
