MEMBERS of the State Administration Council made tours of inspection for development tasks in townships of Shan, Kayah, Kachin and Rakhine states yesterday.

Metmung and Lashio in Shan State

SAC members U Shwe Kyein and U Yan Kyaw comforted patients at Metmung Hospital in Wa Self-Administered Division of Shan State and viewed round the layer farm, pig farm and Napier grass of Township Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department and the poultry farm of the border guard force yesterday morning. They also visited Government Technical High School and Agriculture and Livestock High School in Lashio.

Bawlakhe, Pasawng and Demawhso in Kayah State

SAC member Porel Aung Thein comforted Tatmadaw member and family member patients at the local military hospital in Bawlakhe on 15 September and met with police members of Bawlakhe District Police Force on 16 September. He held separate meetings with departmental personnel and town elders at the hall in Bawlakhe and Pasawng. While in Pasawng, he presented supplies to police members and families at Pasawng Myoma police station.

Yesterday, he inspected construction tasks of staff housings in Loikaw. He released more than 200,000 fingerlings into Nawngya Lake in Loikaw and 90,000 fingerlings to local fish farmers in Loikaw and Demawhso townships free of charge.

Putao in Kachin State

SAC member Daw Dwe Bu inspected greening works, thriving monsoon paddy and perennial trees and landscape as well as beautification along the road to Putao Airport in Putao. She urged officials to showcase traditions and customs of ethnics for enhancement of tourism industry. While in Putao, she viewed Namthwam Creek and the Tathtauk Pagoda in Putao Station.

Kyaukpyu, Yanbye and Taungup in Rakhine State

SAC member Dr Ba Shwe visited Kyaukpyu Education Degree College and Government Technological College (Kyaukpyu) and urged officials to turn out new generation youths reliable for the country. He viewed monsoon paddy seed production farm in Yanbye Township. He also met with departmental officials and town elders in Yanbye, urging them to restore peace and stability of the region and rule of law. He inspected progress of Sanepauk Bridge project on Maei-Kyaukpyu segment of Yangon-Kyaukpyu road. In Taungup, he inspected construction of the convocation hall at Taungup University.
