TRANSPORT and Communications Deputy Minister U Aung Kyaw Tun visited the People’s Republic of China yesterday for the signing ceremony of the aviation link agreement between Myanmar and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region held at the Central Government Office building in Hong Kong.
At the ceremony, the Deputy Minister and the Minister of Transport and Logistics of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from the People’s Republic of China signed the agreement and delivered the address.
The ceremony was attended by U Han Win Naing, Consul-General of the Myanmar in Hong Kong, officials from Myanmar National Airlines, and Myanmar Airways International and staff from the Civil Aviation Department, and the Airport Authority and Department of Transport and Logistics of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
According to the agreement, airlines from Myanmar and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will be able to exchange each other's passenger and cargo flights with greater freedom.
In addition, at the invitation of Mr Simon Li, President of the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy, the deputy minister and members of the Myanmar delegation visited the Hong Kong International Aviation Academy and discussed issues related to human resource development and cooperation.
