A trial enumeration of census will be conducted in 100 selected polling stations in 20 townships, including the Yangon Region, according to the meeting of the Yangon Regional Census Supervisory Committee.

From 1 to 15 October this year, the trial census will be conducted by selecting 100 enumeration plots in 20 townships.

The census work is crucial for the overall development of the country, as emphasized by the Chairman of the Yangon Region Census Supervisory Committee Yangon Region Chief Minister.

In the Yangon Region, they will collect data from five urban plots and 10 rural plots from two wards and two village-tracts in Hmawby and Dagon Myothit (Seikkan) townships.

Six immigration personnel who have attended the central-level pilot census enumeration together with those from relevant census committees will collect the census.

In order to obtain high-quality information as in previous censuses, the entire census process will be considered as a national duty. The Chief Minister of the Yangon Region called for public participation in the census enumeration process together with relevant organizations.
