THE Eighth Anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) is set to be celebrated on 15 October at the Myanmar International Convention Centre II (MICC II) in Nay Pyi Taw.
Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, member of the State Administration Council, Union Minister for Home Affairs and Chairman of the Steering Committee for the Eighth Anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement, presided over the inspection of event preparations, joined by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, and officials.
During the preparations, various galleries representing the Ministry of Border Affairs, the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs, and the Ministry of Information were assessed for inclusion in the event, featuring displays like the ‘Historic Milestone of Peace as Told by Newspapers’. Additionally, the arrangements of media outlets such as MRTV, National Races Channel, and Ethnic Language Broadcasting of Radio Myanmar were scrutinized.
Simultaneously, the rehearsal of ethnic traditional cultural dance troupes from the Fine Arts Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and MRTV of the Ministry of Information was observed. These troupes will perform at the ceremony.
Union Minister Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn concluded their inspection by assessing the preparations in the Plenary Hall, where the anniversary ceremony will take place, and providing necessary instructions.
