THE Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) 8th anniversary ceremony will be held on 15 October at MICC-II in Nay Pyi Taw.

Ethnic armed organizations that have signed the NCA and ethnic armed organizations that have not yet signed the NCA have been invited to the ceremony. Kayin ethnic leader Saw Mutu Say Poe, General Yawd Serk Chairman of the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS), Lahu Democratic Union- LDU Chairman Kyar Solomon, Leaders of NCA Signatory EAOs U Khun Okkar, U Khine Soe Naing Aung, U Myo Win and invited representatives from EAOs arrived in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

Members and officials from the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, ethnic people from the Department of Fine Arts, officials from relevant departments, and locals, who want peace, holding small flags, placards such as “Achieving durable peace is the true aspiration of the entire people, achieving peace is the wish of all citizens, let’s meet and talk about the peace of the Union, ” welcomed EAO leaders at Nay Pyi Taw Airport.

Representatives of various ethnic armed organizations have come to Nay Pyi Taw from various regions and states to attend the NCA eighth anniversary celebration.
