THE 30th Pakokku U Ohn Pe literary awards are now open for manuscript submissions, as announced by the oversight committee of the Pakokku U Ohn Pe literary fund.

These literary awards encompass five diverse genres, including novels, collections of short stories, collections of poems, treatises/theses, and research literature. Each participant is allowed to submit entries in up to five genres but is limited to sending only one manuscript per genre.

The Pakokku U Ohn Pe literary award offers a first prize of K700,000 a second prize of K500,000, and a third prize of K400,000.

Those who wish to participate in the contest must send their complete resume along with two photographs to the Sarpay Beikman building, located at the corner of 37th Street and Merchant Street, Yangon Region, by 29 December.
