DEPUTY Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo held Myanmar-China bilateral consultations with Mr Nong Rong, Assistant Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.
They cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the further consolidation of the existing Pauk-Phaw relations and implementation of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, acceleration of the ongoing Myanmar-China bilateral projects under China-Myanmar Economic Corridor (CMEC) and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the maintenance of peace and stability along the Myanmar-China border area, the continued provision of Chinese assistance for the economic development of Myanmar, intensification of collaboration between the two countries in the ASEAN and Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Mechanism frameworks and to render mutual support in regional and multilateral arenas and matters of common interests. The Deputy Minister also apprised the latest developments of Myanmar to the Chinese Assistant Minister.
In the evening, Deputy Minister U Lwin Oo hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting Chinese delegation led by the Assistant Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China at the M-Gallery Hotel.
