UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn took part in the Presentation on the Development of a Digitally Empowered Demonstration Zone for Common Prosperity held at the Dilshan Hall of the Yon Kyung Guesthouse in Wuzhen, Jiangxi Province of the People’s Republic of China yesterday.

The event is part of Jiangxi Province’s “Digital Assistance for Rural and Urban Development” initiative, and it plays a pivotal role in advancing the digital sector in Jiangxi’s rural areas while promoting collaborative growth in the urban digital sector.

Distinguished guests, including presidents and heads of digital technology from Asian, African, and EU countries, high-ranking officials from Jiangxi Province, and technical experts from China, attended the event. They engaged in discussions on topics such as mutual support between agriculture and industry, the promotion of digital technology in urban and rural settings, the integration of digital technology with agricultural and livestock activities in rural areas, the future of 5G, and the promotion of digital agriculture and tourism.

In the evening, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn participated in the International Internet City Exhibition at Dilshan Hall of the Yon Kyung Guesthouse.

The event was a platform to announce the Wuzhen International Internet City Development Project and the Declaration Index on the Development of Tangshan Digital Culture. It focused on the development of a 5G+ technology city in the future, the establishment of a Smart City using AI technology, and the increased utilization of digital culture in political, economic, social, and ecological contexts. Discussions also revolved around the utilization of advanced digital technology in building a Smart City.
