WARRANTS dated 15 November were reportedly issued by the Kokang Self-Administered Zone Court against Ming Xuechang, Ming Guoping (aka) Ming Xiaoping, Ming Julan, and Ming Zhenzhen, who have been involved in committing, attempting to commit, as well as collaborating in organized crimes such as online scam, seduction, kidnapping, illegal detention, and extortion in the Kokang Self-Administered Zone, Shan State.

Three out of those four suspects under warrants, namely Ming Xuechang, Ming Guoping (aka) Ming Xiaoping, and Ming Zhenzhen, were caught in Laukkai, Kokang Self-Administered Zone, yesterday. During the attempt to arrest them, Ming Xuechang shot himself with an illegally possessed pistol, and he died from that wound while undergoing medical treatment. To take legal action against those arrested suspects, responsible personnel from the Myanmar Police Force handed them over to the Chinese counterpart at Yanlongkeng checkpoint at the Myanmar-China border at about 1:50 pm. The body of Ming Xuechang hasn’t been brought back to China yet for necessary verifications.

To eradicate organized crimes of online scam, seduction, kidnapping, illegal detention, and extortion, as well as to prohibit involvement in those crimes, the Government of Myanmar is striving with its utmost efforts in investigation, identification, and punishment by concerned law enforcement agencies. Additionally, the Government of Myanmar always keeps in touch with respective neighbouring countries and works actively in close cooperation.
