ACTING on a tip-off, a combined team comprising members of the Anti-Drug Police Force examined a Toyota Surf travelling from Pinlaung to Tatkon, driven by Aung Min and accompanied by Aung Ko Ko Oo, near Leinli village in Pinlaung township of Shan State (South) at 1 pm on 9 November, and seized one million stimulant tablets worth K500 million, as stated by the Myanmar Police Force.
After conducting an interrogation, the police also arrested Sai Kong Leng (aka) Ko Sai, who was involved in drug trafficking, at his house in Kunhing township at 7:30 am on 10 November. Offenders admitted that the drugs were intended to be transported from Shan State to Yangon Region. The police have taken legal action against the offenders, and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators of the crime chain.
