A combined team captured an unregistered Toyota Wish (estimated value of K5 million) in Yenangyoung township on 14 November and the action was taken under the Export and Import Law.
The joint teams made inspections on 15 November and nabbed a total of 1.338 tonnes of illegal teak, 0.170 tonne of illegal hardwood and 1.280 tonnes of illegal other timbers worth K928,170 in Bago and Toungoo districts, a Toyota HiAce (approximately worth K20 million) carrying 2,500 kilogrammes of Flying Horse fertilizer worth K3.48 million at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint and a Dongfeng tractor head with a trailer (estimated value of K50 million) carrying nine types of goods worth K5.238 million, including 5,000 units of Silicon Sealant without official documents at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint. The action was taken under the Forest Law and Customs procedures.
A total of six arrests were made on 14 and 15 November, with an estimated value of K84,646,170, as reported by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
