The numbers of local and foreign travellers have increased to see Irrawaddy dolphins and net-fishing tradition in the second week of November.
Starting from the first week of November, there are 130 local and foreign travellers to see the Irrawaddy dolphins that inhabit the area of Mandalay-Kyaukmyaung and the local net-fishing tradition with the help of dolphins and there are over 200 travellers in the second week of November.
According to the Mandalay Region Department of Fisheries, Irrawaddy dolphins are watched and protected attentively as they are endangered species and currently, they are inhabiting the area of Seinpangon Village, Madaya Township and the Mingun area.
There were also appointments to come and see Irrawaddy dolphins and the net-fishing tradition even though it was not a seasonal time during August last year.
