UNION Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe attended the Education Ministers’ level meeting yesterday, which is part of the 2nd Voice of Global South Summit (VOGSS 2.0), themed “Together for Everyone’s Growth, With Everyone’s Trust”, organized by the Government of India.

The meeting, held under the theme 'Making Human Resources Future Ready’, saw the participation of the Union Minister who emphasized the crucial role of education in acquiring knowledge and skills relevant to the 21st century.

The Union minister underscored the undeniable link between human resource development and educational progress, highlighting that the Ministry of Education offers capacity-building courses for newly appointed university teachers.

Additionally, an MoU has been signed between universities in Myanmar and India to foster collaboration. The Union Minister expressed confidence that the valuable discussions from the summit will contribute to sustainable development through regional cooperation.

Representatives from 15 countries, including Education Ministers and Deputy Ministers, participated in the summit.

The deputy ministers engaged in discussions addressing challenges for education development, presenting and sharing their experiences. The summit concluded successfully with a closing speech delivered by the Minister of Education from India.
