Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla attended the awarding in the 23rd Arts and Science Research Conference of the Ministry of Education in conjunction with an honorary dinner at Naypyitaw State Academy in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday evening.

At the awarding ceremony, the Senior General presented prizes of the 17th Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science to Dr Htet Htet Than Sein, Dr Zaw Zaw Thein, Dr Ei Ei Phyo, Dr Wint Wah Wah Tun, Dr Nang Yin Yin Moe, Dr Cho Mar Lwin, Dr Khin Moh Moh and Dr Hein Latt, whereas the wife of the Senior General handed best research paper awards in Myanmar and English to Dr Mya Mya Win, Dr Aye SuNyein, U Khin Aye and Daw Kay KhineNyein.

Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Council members General Mya Tun Oo, Admiral Tin Aung San, Lt-Gen Nyo Saw, Porel Aung Thein, Mahn Nyein Maung, Dr Hmu Thang, Dr Ba Shwe and U Yan Kyaw, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Zwe Win Myint, Union ministers U Ko Ko Hlaing, Admiral Moe Aung and Dr Nyunt Pe presented first, second and third prizes in addition to honorary awards to relevant resource persons in respective subjects.

The Senior General and his wife had the honorary dinner together with those present. Also present at the ceremony were the Joint Secretary and his wife, council members and their wives, Union-level dignitaries, Union ministers and their wives, the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chair, senior military officers, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, deputy ministers, rectors and professors, the president of Myanmar Academy of Arts and Science and members, resource persons and guests.
