MYANMAR Music Association (Central) held a music concert commemorating Myanmar Music Day at the National Theatre yesterday.

Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn gave 1,000 handheld lights worth K3 million as a gift to the fans who attended the music concert to celebrate Myanmar Music Day.

Next, artistes performed Myanmar songs named Singyi Galon Chi, Luchun Lukaung, Myanma Seikyin Myanma Shukin, Nagani and the National anthem to mark the Myanmar Music Day ceremony.

U Lwin Myint, Chairman of the Myanmar Music Association (Central), was presented bouquets by U Phoe Chit, Chairman of the Myanmar Theatrical Association (Central) and U Kyi Soe Tun, Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization (Central).

Thanks to various popular bands, famous vocalists performed 82 songs.

The Second Dobama Asiayon( We Burmans Association) Conference, held in Myingyan on 27 June 1936, adopted the Dobama song as a national song.

In order for musicians to keep the spirit of nationalism alive forever, the song was adopted as the national song, and 27 June was designated as Myanmar Music Day at the meeting of the Myanmar Music Association held on 4 June 2023.

The Myanmar Music Association (Central) is working to implement music-related activities with annual music competitions, exhibitions, and music award ceremonies to honour 27 June, the historic music day.

Artistes and fans attended the concert and had a great time during the Myanmar Music Day event yesterday.
