UPON receiving information about Chinese citizens residing on an estate in Wamkyauklon Village, Tachilek Township, security forces conducted a raid on 19 June.
They apprehended four Chinese nationals and confiscated narcotic drugs, arms, and ammunition. Additionally, they found one male and one female Himalayan bear, one male African lion, and one female Bengal tiger, all of which were illegally possessed.
The chief executive officer of the Htoo Zoos and Gardens Business Unit, in collaboration with the Myanma Timber Enterprise, transported wild animals to the Zoo and Safari Park in Nay Pyi Taw for public display, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation.
