A Chinese expert claimed that the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) was against the sanctions at the Media Delegations Round Table Meeting of SCO. Professor Pan Guang, a Senior Researcher from the Shanghai Academy of Social Science, said at the Media Delegations Round Table Meeting of SCO held at the China National Institute for SCO (CNISCO) International Exchange and Judicial Cooperation in Shanghai on 4 July.
The Media Delegations Round Table Meeting was held on the topic of international exchange and judicial cooperation, and Myanmar participated in the event together with media representatives of SCO member states.
At the meeting, the Chinese experts said the SCO is growing and opposes the sanctions as they impose deaths of children, women and the elderly in the world. Ms Zheng Wai also said that SCO will conduct mutual communications amongst member nations and expand training and educational forums.
Yangon Media Group Chairman U Ko Ko (Ko Ko-Sethmu Tekkatho) attended the event at the invitation of the Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (GNFCCSCO).
Prof Wang Wei of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law served as master of ceremonies, whereas the GNFCCSCO Secretary-General, Minister-Counselor Ms Zheng Wai of the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other experts led the discussion.
Twenty-six experts from SCO member states: India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan; observer states: Afghanistan and Belarus, and the dialogue partners Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bahrain, Egypt, Cambodia, Qatar, Kuwait, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Turkiye and Sri Lanka participated in the discussion.
SCO members observed Food Delivery Ele. me, China’s second-largest food delivery service platform, Hozon New Energy Auto, the manufacturer of Neta EV, Yangshan Port and Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Company.
They will also tour Shanghai, Beijing, and Qingdao, hold discussions, and attend the Green Development Forum and Sub-Focalers of SCO from 1 to 9 July. — YMG/KTZH
