Senior General Min Aung Hlaing underlined that if individuals cooperate with each other with security awareness and knowledge, security measures will be strong.
The Union government meeting 5/2024 took place at the meeting hall of the Office of the Chairman of the State Administration Council in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning, with an address by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Speaking on the occasion, the Senior General noted that farmers grow oil crops such as groundnut, sesame, sunflower, oil palm and soya bean. If they grow oil crops that meet the target cultivation, it will contribute significantly to local oil sufficiency. He added that regions and states need to strive for increasing per-acre yield of oil crops.
He added that agriculture, industrial and service sectors are interrelated in implementing the Gross Domestic Product.
He underscored that successfully undertaking the agriculture and livestock sector will help develop industrial and service sectors as well as increase the GDP of the State.
He underscored that the government strived for the development of ministries, regions, and states with the utmost efforts, for example, by building Naypyitaw State Academy, Nay Pyi Taw Technological University, and other roads and bridges. The Senior General pointed out that it needs to set records on loss and damage in the destruction of terrorists.
The Senior General continued that relevant departments need to emphasize the breakdown of security measures and take action against those who break security measures.
He said that it is necessary to join hands with the youths and businesspersons who are interested in the national cause to implement the development of the nation. He highlighted that it is essential to initiate the banking system to win the trust of the people.
He emphasized that Myanmar exercises an independent, active and non-aligned foreign policy with all countries based on five principles of peaceful co-existence.
Hence, he continued that regions and states sharing foreign countries and relevant ministries need to implement the foreign policy of the State correctly.
He highlighted that as part of preparations for the election, the population and household census will be enumerated in possible areas nationwide starting in early October. After collecting the census, voter lists will be compiled, he added.
In conclusion, the Senior General urged officials to arrange for members of the Sangha to peacefully and pleasantly take Buddhist Lent.
