THE Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than left Yangon for the Russian Federation by air on 6 July to attend the 14th Industrial Trade Expo (INNOPROM) to be held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, from 8 to 10 July.
During the visit, the Union minister and party will meet the Russian minister for Industry and Trade, the Deputy Governor of Sverdlovsk Province, the Director General of Tyazhpromexport Co Ltd (TPE) separately to discuss matters pertaining to steel production, Myanmar’s No 2 Steel Plant (Pangpet) project activities. They will also observe and study steel production and pharmaceutical production activities, attend the opening ceremony of the industrial trade fair, view and study the exhibits, and participate in discussions related to the industrial trade fair.
More than 600 companies, including the Russian Federation State-owned Corporation Rostec, KAMZ JSC, GAZ Group, AVTOVAZ JSC, Russian Stateowned Corporation Roscosmos, Concern VKO Almaz-Antei JSC, Russian State-owned Corporation Rosatom, Transmashholding JSC, Kaspersky Laboratory JSC, Severstal PJSC, and Rosseti PJSC, will participate in the exhibition. Additionally, over 100 seminars will be held as part of the economic programme covering topics such as Digital Manufacturing, Industrial Innovations, Industrial Development, Metropolitan Technologies, Labour Efficiency, Financing of Manufacturing, New Mobility, Chemical Industry, ENG in Industry, Educational Solutions in Industry, and Food Tech/Agri Tech.
