MYANMAR’S Ambassador to Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the EU and the Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) U Soe Lynn Han met Deputy Director-General of the OPCW Ms Odette Melono, at the organization’s headquarters in The Hague, the Netherlands on 4 July.

During the meeting, the Ambassador elaborated on Myanmar’s active participation in OPCW activities since ratifying the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) in 2015, adhering to its regulations. In response, Deputy Director-General Ms Odette Melono acknowledged the OPCW Technical Secretariat’s appreciation for Myanmar’s proactive involvement. They also discussed other coordination matters.
