Under the oversight of the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee, rigorous measures are being implemented to combat illegal trade under the law.

On 12 July, combined teams led by the Magway Region Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force conducted inspections at checkpoints in Aunglan Township. They confiscated a Nissan truck valued at approximately K20 million and another Honda Fit worth around K6 million at a checkpoint near Kanpya Village, Magway Township. Legal proceedings have commenced under the Import/Export Law.

Simultaneously, a combined team under the Yangon Region Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force seized goods valued at about K15.675 million, including 80 China-made Ducart e-bikes and a Jac tractor head with a trailer worth approximately K60 million at Ywathagyi Dry Port. Customs procedures were followed in taking action.

On the same day, a combined team under the Nay Pyi Taw Council Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force seized 0.368 tonne of illegal teak valued at approximately K150,912 in Lewe District, with the action being taken under the Forestry Law.

Moving to 14 July, a combined team under the Ayeyawady Region Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force seized 95 gallons of illegal diesel worth K1.235 million, following the Petroleum and Petroleum Products Law. Concurrently, at Yangon International Airport, the Customs Department confiscated illegal goods valued at approximately K638,400, including six Intercom radios, adhering to customs procedures.

On 15 July, a combined team under the Sagaing Region Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force seized an unregistered Daihatsu Hijet valued at K6 million at the Yadanabon Bridge checkpoint, with the action being taken under the Import-Export Law.

Similarly, combined teams under the Bago Region Illegal Trade Eradication Special Task Force seized 0.582 tonne of illegal hardwood and 1.808 tonnes of timbers worth K640,941 in Toungoo District. Additionally, an unregistered Honda Fit worth about K5 million was confiscated near Sittoung Bridge in Waw Township, Bago District. The action was taken under the Forestry Law and Import-Export Law.

The Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee reported ten arrests on 12, 14, and 15 July, resulting in the seizure of illegal goods worth approximately K115 million.
