MALICIOUS media outlets are spreading false information on social media, claiming that security forces launched attacks using heavy weapons, resulting in one civilian dead and four hurt in Kukkokhwa village-tract, Yenangyoung Township of Magway Region on 28 July.

Civilians reported to security forces that PDF terrorists hid in the vicinity of Kukkokhwa village-tract. Upon a tip-off, security forces conducted security measures, and they did not open fire on the village, according to a security official.

PDF terrorists asked for money from Yenangyoung residents and killed locals, and fake news was reportedly circulated through malicious media, defaming security forces.
