UNION Election Commission Chairman U Ko Ko met Mr Mongkol Visitstump, Thai Ambassador to Myanmar, at the Union Election Commission office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday. The Thai ambassador to Myanmar discussed election preparations with the Union Election Commission, including political party activities, Thailand’s potential support, and future cooperation between the two countries.

The Union Election Commission chairman then outlined the requirements for a successful election, including adherence to election laws, political party registration, verification processes, and the use of Myanmar’s electronic voting machines.

Following this, they had an open discussion on potential collaboration with the Thai Election Commission and joint development efforts.
