THE malicious media is deliberately circulating false claims that the Tatmadaw local battalion located in Mindat, Chin State, launched a heavy weapon on 9 August, which killed a local woman and wounded a child. Likewise, security forces from the Monywa checkpoint, Sagaing Region, fired with heavy weapons, which landed and exploded in villages located beside Monywa-Amyint Road, killing two and injuring seven.

The truth was, according to the reports stated by local security forces and residents in Mindat and Monywa, security forces conducted security measures since locals reported that PDF terrorists arrived and grouped to make terror plots within those towns. However, PDF terrorists retreated due to the security measures of Tatmadaw forces. Therefore, it is just spreading fabricated stories that civilians were killed and wounded.

There is no such incident that Tatmadaw security forces fired on villages where civilians live. Terrorists fired heavy weapons, hand-made rockets, and a variety of munitions, and they dropped bombs from drones on security forces and other soft targets. They also killed civilians. The malicious media are intentionally fabricating false reports to deceive the public.
