Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement U Soe Kyi received Mr Sajjad Mohammad Sajid, Head of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and Mr Marcoluigi, United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator ai(UN RC/HC ai) at the ministry’s office yesterday afternoon.

They exchanged views on the soonest possible signing of a letter of agreement between the Ministry of Social Welfare Relief and Resettlement and UNOCHA, assistance in entry visas for UNOCHA’s foreign staff, UNOCHA’s provision of humanitarian aid to those in need in Myanmar, and association registration of international non-governmental organizations.
