The Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Governor Dr Lin Aung of the Central Bank of Myanmar attended the 23rd meeting of the SEACEN Executive Committee (EXCO) yesterday hosted by the Reserve Bank of India virtually.
Deputy Governor Dr Michael Debabrata Patra of the Indian Reserve Bank and Acting Executive Director of SEACEN Dr Srichander Ramaswamy first made opening speeches.
The SEACEN acting executive director and deputy governors of 19 SEACEN members discussed the approved issues at the 22nd meeting, completed work plans, ongoing work plans of SEACEN Centre in 2024, prioritized training, discussions, research papers, SEACEN scholarships and budget estimate in 2025, plans to recognize the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) as a strategic partner of the SEACEN Centre, payment and recruitment processes of the SEACEN Centre.
During the retreat of the central bank deputies, Deputy Governor Dr Michael Debabrata Patra of the Indian Reserve Bank discussed the appointment of a director post in the macroeconomic and financial policies management department, contract extension for mid-level staff of the SEACEN Centre and rules and regulations for the centre staff.
