AS per the guidance of State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, soldiers, children of servicemen and servicewomen, war veterans, and substituted civilian staff who passed the 2023-2024 matriculation exam with flying colours went on a foreign excursion to China on 26 August to study international culture and enrich their knowledge, returning yesterday.

The group was welcomed back by Brig-Gen Soe Nyunt, Commandant of the Defence Services Medical Academy, U Aung Ye Win, Departmental Head of the Myanma Economic Holdings Public Company Limited, and students’ parents.

The excursion included visits to Tian Tan Park and Ling Guang Temple, where the Buddha tooth relic is enshrined, on 27 August. On 28 August, they explored the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, and the venues of the Olympics and enjoyed sightseeing in Beijing.

On 29 August, the group travelled to Guangzhou City on the No G77 Beijing-Guangzhou bullet train from Beijing Bullet Train Station.

On 30 August, they visited Ji Nan University in Guangzhou, where they learned about the university’s history, library, and faculties. In the evening, they visited the Guangzhou Tower and enjoyed a river cruise on the Zhu Jiang River.
