ON 9 September, under the supervision of the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee, enforcement teams conducted inspections, seizing a range of goods.

At the Asia World Container Check Point, one type of industrial equipment (valued at approximately K83.16 million) without legal documentation was confiscated from two containers. Additionally, at the Mawtaung checkpoint, four types of industrial equipment and four types of motorcycle parts (valued at approximately K75.74 million) were seized from two vehicles travelling from Mawtaung to Yangon, along with two Nissan Diesel tractor heads and two trailers (valued at approximately K180 million). In total, items worth approximately K338.90 million were seized, and further action was taken in line with Customs procedures.

Furthermore, on 9 September, under the management of the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee in Yangon Region, enforcement teams conducted checks, leading to the seizure of one unregistered Toyota Alphard (valued at approximately K6.50 million) in Shwepyitha Township for violating import-export laws.

In Taikkyi Township, illegal logs weighing 0.444 tonnes (estimated value of K391,424) were confiscated under forestry laws. Additionally, in Dagon Seikkan Township, 15 types of consumer goods, 12 types of industrial equipment, and one type of food product (about K31.54 million) were seized from a sand-carrying boat found moored in the Phaungtawgyi River. Overall, items worth around K38.43 million were confiscated, and the action was conducted according to Customs procedures.

On the same day, in Mandalay Region, enforcement teams under the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee inspected two vehicles transporting goods from Taunggyi to Mandalay, seizing ten types of industrial equipment (valued approximately K27.89 million) and two Nissan Condor trucks (estimated value of K40 million). In total, items valued at approximately K67.89 million were seized, with further actions being taken according to Customs procedures.

Additionally, on 10 September, the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee in the Bago Region conducted inspections in the Toungoo District, seizing illegal logs weighing 1.129 tonnes (around K994,224), with actions being taken under the Forestry Law. The combined seizures on 9 and 10 September reached 13 cases, with items worth around K446.215 million, as reported by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
