On behalf of Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, State Administration Council Chairman and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, who is a member of the Myanmar delegation, presented the ‘‘Sithu” title to Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov at 10:30 am on 5 March 2025, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia. The title was conferred to Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing State Administration Council Chairman and Prime Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Following the conferment ceremony, the two sides held open and cordial discussions on further enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation, as well as Myanmar’s role as the country coordinator for ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Relations.
