Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win met Mr Alexander James Matheou, Asia-Pacific Regional Director of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), at the minister’s reception hall yesterday evening.

Both sides discussed ongoing humanitarian assistance efforts between IFRC and the Myanmar Red Cross Society, including emergency patient referrals and first aid services. They also exchanged views on public health awareness initiatives, disaster risk reduction and rehabilitation efforts. They also explored further collaboration plans for 2025.
