The second day of the 2025 matriculation examination commenced yesterday morning, with a total of 208,659 candidates sitting for the English subject across the country, including at overseas examination centres, according to reports.

This year, a total of 817 examination centres were established, comprising 13 overseas centres and 804 domestic centres. The total number of registered candidates for the examination was 220,843. On the second day, 208,659 candidates sat for the English exam, while 12,184 candidates were absent, resulting in an attendance rate of 94.48 per cent, according to the Ministry of Education. — MNA/MKKS
