DRUGS were seized in Mohnyin and Tachilek townships, as reported by the Myanmar Police Force.
A combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, conducted a search of a vehicle driven by Phyo Nyein Oo accompanied by Than Htike Oo in Pinlon village-track, Mohnyin Township, at 10:3 am on 19 March. Police seized 4.4 kilogrammes of heroin valued at K110 million.
Similarly, the police force searched a hired house of Kaw Htu (aka) Nay Thurein in Tachilek Township at 5:30 pm on the same day and captured 1.7 kilogrammes of Happy Water valued at K187 million.
On 20 March, the police force searched a house of Lin Htut in the house of Lin Htut in Samseng Ward B, Tachilek, at 11:30 am and seized 108,000 stimulant tablets worth K 43.2 million and 34,000 stimulant tablets worth K13.6 million in a hired house of Lin Htut in Samseng Ward A, Tachilek Township, at 11:50 am. Police arrested Sai Oun (aka) Sai Kham who was involved in drug trafficking in Yanaungmyay Ward, Tachilek, at 12:15 pm and seized K96 million worth of 240,000 stimulant tablets that were kept near the Tachilek detour.
Legal proceedings have been conducted against the offenders, and an ongoing investigation is underway to apprehend others involved in the case.
