THE malicious media spread fake information, claiming that two civilians were injured and houses were seriously destroyed after the attacks of security forces in Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region, Kyaikto Township, Mon State, and Kalay Township, Sagaing Region.

According to a local security official, such news was invalid. The terrorists launched attacks using heavy weapons and drones in villages, resulting in houses being destroyed and civilians injured and killed. Security forces did not attack non-military targets such as wards and villages, and the forces conducted counter-terrorism activities after examining the existence of terrorists. Subversive media outlets spread misinformation, covering up their terror acts and misleading the people about security forces.
