Former Nepali Prime Minister Mr Madhav Kumar Nepal and his delegation, who are currently visiting Myanmar, paid a visit to Htilominlo Pagoda in the Bagan Ancient Cultural Zone yesterday morning.

During their visit, an official from the Department of Archaeology and National Museum (Bagan Branch) provided an explanation about the historical background of the pagoda. The pagoda trustees also presented a portrait of the pagoda as a gift.

Following this, they proceeded to the Lacquerware Technology College (Bagan), where the principal provided an overview of the college. The former Prime Minister and his delegation observed the lacquerware production process by students and visited lacquerware shops, including U Ba Nyein Lacquerware Store.

In the afternoon, the former Nepali Prime Minister and his delegation departed for Yangon by air.
