ACTIONS will be taken if it finds out that there are people who misuse its name for their gains, said the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore.
The embassy stipulated in a statement, that applicants for passport extension can get an appointment date by sending the passport’s first page and IC Card front and back page to its WhatsApp numbers +6581748993 and +6582468581 as of 21 March.
The statement said the embassy already warned that no individual or organization is allowed to provide this service. It added that it has received complaints from some Myanmar nationals that there are people who ask them to send personal information to the embassy’s WhatsApp numbers to seek appointment dates by pay.
It said applications to do it themselves and evidence of being the same family is required to be attached if they send by a single phone number, and requests to report to +6581748993 if there are people who ask money for passport extension appointment date.
