Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla greeted retired senior Tatmadaw officers who served duties in Tatmadaw and their wives at Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
The retired senior Tatmadaw officers and their wives will attend the parade for the 80th Anniversary of the Armed Forces Day which falls on 27 March 2025.
On the occasion, the Senior General and his wife cordially asked the retired senior Tatmadaw officers and their wives about health and social needs individually and fulfilled their requirements.
At the meetings, the Senior General talked about maintaining the fine traditions of Tatmadaw, efforts to enhance the capability and power of Tatmadaw, paying gratitude to them for attending the Armed Forces Day Parade, emphasis being placed by Tatmadaw on peace and stability of the State, efforts to overall development of the nation by the State Administration Council, enhancement of education to promote the national education standard, and encouragement for non-formal education in addition to the formal education and library measures.
The retired senior Tatmadaw officers expressed thanks to the Senior General for having the chance to attend the Armed Forces Day Parade, their recognition of and endeavours of the Senior General in discharging State duties without weaknesses, and making their wishes for the Senior General to further serve the interests of the State and ensure peace, stability and overall development of the nation, and gave other advice.
