The Ministry of Information organized a legal knowledge dissemination seminar yesterday at the ministry’s assembly hall in Nay Pyi Taw.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, the Permanent Secretary, departmental officials, and 150 staff members attended the seminar.
In his opening speech, the Union minister emphasized the importance of legal awareness for all citizens and highlighted that government employees must understand and adhere to their respective departmental laws, bylaws, and civil service regulations. He stated that the seminar was being held to ensure that participants were well-informed about the laws, rules, orders, and directives implemented within the Ministry of Information.
Following this, officials provided explanations on various legal matters, including contract document review, civil service laws and regulations, television and audio broadcasting laws and bylaws, media laws and regulations, printing and publishing laws and bylaws, film laws and bylaws, television and video laws and regulations, video industry bylaws, as well as laws and regulations related to libraries, museums, and exhibitions. Attendees also engaged in discussions and raised questions to clarify their understanding of these legal frameworks.
