AUTHORITIES have announced that individuals who engaged in promoting or supporting the activities of CRPH, NUG, and their affiliated groups — designated as terrorist groups — will be identified and prosecuted under the law. These groups have been found to incite violence and disrupt national stability through their propaganda and actions, with the intent to harm government mechanism and the peace of the nation.

Although a public notice had been issued, the owner of a Telegram account named “Tun Tun Aung” continued to incite and spread ideologies aimed at disturbing national peace through social media pages on 25 March 2025 in disregard of the government announcement.

The man named Tun Tun Aung, who resides in Saya San Ward, Bahan Township, Yangon Region, was apprehended at 5:40 pm on the same day at the Bago Myoma Police Station. Legal action has been taken against him under the law.
