The Royal Medical Emergency Response Team of Bhutan, currently providing healthcare to earthquake-affected people in Nay Pyi Taw, donated a water purifier and emergency personal care items to Masoeyein Monastery in Pyinmana on the morning of 9 April.
The team presented the donations to the monastery’s presiding Sayadaw Bhaddanta Revata, including a water purifier, a 2,000-litre water tank, rice, cooking oil, sugar and other relief items. They then distributed emergency personal care kits to quake-affected locals near the monastery.
The total value of the donation was over K100 million, which included a K45 million automatic water purification system capable of purifying 10,000 litres per day without electricity, one 2,000-litre water tank, 100 emergency hygiene kits and various food items.
