UNICEF (Myanmar) distributed 4,800 water gallons to over 800 families in Pyinmana, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on 9 April in response to water shortages caused by the Mandalay earthquake.

The organization also plans to provide water purification sachets, each capable of purifying up to 10 litres of water especially helpful for children during critical times. Similarly, UNICEF has supplied hygiene kits to protect the health of earthquake-affected children and families in Sagaing Region.

The organization is continuing to support other affected areas with essential aid for both families and children.
