AW Foundation donated K2 billion and supported rescue activities with over 100 machineries in earthquake-stricken Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay areas.

The foundation takes part in rescue activities with cash, workforce, machinery and technology regardless of religion, race and area. It joined hands with domestic and international rescue teams to clear rubble from the collapsed buildings of the Great Wall Hotel, Win Star Hotel and Tulip Hotel in Mandalay Region on 7 April.

It also provided 15 machineries and workforce to clear earthquake debris from Mandalay Palace moat and wall, U Hla Thein monastery and other damaged areas in collaboration with India’s rescue team on 4 April.

AW Foundation was formed in 2014 to contribute towards education, health, disaster resettlement, emergency response, humanitarian aid and social work.
