THE Myanmar ambassador to Thailand met and provided financial assistance to four migrant workers injured in the Bangkok earthquake and collapsed building, the Myanmar Embassy announced.
On 28 March, a building under construction in Chatuchak, Bangkok, collapsed due to an earthquake, and Myanmar workers were injured and are receiving medical treatment.
Two of them are receiving treatment at Vajira Hospital and the other two at Phyathai Hospital, Ambassador U Zaw Zaw Soe visited them on 9 April, expressed his condolences, and presented them with financial assistance from the Myanmar Embassy family and food items donated by the Thai-Myanmar Friendship Association.
Afterwards, the ambassador received separately U Aung San Oo, the brother of Daw Sein Sein Nyunt, 39, and U Tin Ngwe, the father of Ko Ko, 36, who lost their lives in the earthquake that struck Khet Chatuchak at the embassy. He expressed his condolences on behalf of the Myanmar government and presented them with financial assistance and food items.
