Disperse four cardinal virtues

Today is a an auspicious time, as the old year of the Myanmar calendar, 1386 ME, has passed and the new year, 1387 ME, has arrived.

Before this new year, as the old year draws to a close, all over Myanmar, in accordance with the ancient sages’ saying,

“The way of mundane world is unthinkable,” we have experienced a terrible earthquake that was so severe and terrifying that we could not have imagined. We pray that such deadly disasters as those that have occurred in the world will not occur or be experienced in the future. We pray that all monks, people, and the general public may be free from illness, be free from all dangers, be filled with beauty and good fortune, be filled with wealth, strength, longevity, etc.

“When the four cardinal virtues were established, everybody, may be free from disease, free from evil, and free from evil.

“May you be blessed with wealth, strength, and longevity,” says the new Magha Devalanka.

As such, everybody has to foster

– Love, which is the desire for the well-being of beings,

– Compassion, which, upon seeing the suffering of the poor and needy, moves the hearts of good people to desire to relieve their suffering.

– The faculty of joy, which is clear and joyful when one sees happy beings ,

– The Dhamma of equanimity, which is not opposed to happiness and suffering, and is experienced equally in due time. May the four cardinal virtues, the noble Dhamma, which are called the Four Noble Truths, be continuously cultivated from this time forward, and may all the people/citizens of the country and the global people be free from harm, healthy and happy, and may all their wishes be fulfilled, and may they be showered with love and prayers.
